I contacted Apple Support with the problem described in the thread that was just ruthlessly deleted- my iPad would not unlock saying PUK is locked, even through I never had wireless service. Apple tech support recommended to take out SIM card to see if it helps. I never knew there was access to SIM card- apparently, there is little elongated oval door on the side of iPad with pin point hole and we supposed to use a needle to open that door and take out the card. But it does not opens! I don't know how hard I supposed to press there- did you ever open it and took card out? The tech support person says- she uses earing.
And to the administrator- if you don't understand what PUK means, do not delete the tread. There are many things in the world that we can't understand- does not mean it is God. So just because something is locked, does not mean I am trying to bypass security measures. PUK has something to do with cellular services. My iPad is not locked. There is something wrong with my SIM card- it asks for code, the code in on the card itself, but I don't know how to open the door to take card out- because I never had to use wireless service. I need my iPad who I have access code for to work. I don't need SIM card at all. So if I had no card- it would not be able to connect to internet IF I had service, but I never did. So leave my thread alone- there is no crime here.
