stop scripts running on windows 8

IE runs like a snail. I'm sick of it. Does anyone know how to stop scripts from running period?!!!!
I already have it set to disable script bugging but they run anyway. What's the deal?

your problem is IE sucks. get yourself hooked on chrome or firefox. both are clearly superior to IE.

I like chrome cause of the complete integration with my gmail/cloud so on and so forth. i can log onto any computer and use chrome and have all my bookmarks and plugins like it's my pc.
