Stop the Coolermaster Elite 130 from blinking when in sleep mode

This is an odd request, but i built myself a Windows based steam machine. My intention was to leave Steam's big picture mode on at all times and set the power button to 'sleep.' The problem is that when the PC is in sleep mode, the power light on the Cooler master elite 130 blinks. Maybe it's just me, but this is annoying the hell out of me especially as it illuminates my room at night. Any way to stop the light from doing this, short of pulling the led cable from the motherboard?

As far as i know all the cables are in the right place. Not the first time i built a pc, and i followed the manual to the motherboard. The light stays on when the pc is powered on and turns off when the pc is off. Its just the sleep state which makes it blink. It is very odd.

The reason I asked, is because some MBs' FP headers have two locations where the FP LED wire pair can go. One set of pins turns on/off the LEDs normally, and the other set of pins are used for signaling. My Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 is like that.

After doing a bit of research, it appears to be an unwanted feature of the motherboard. Very strange thing to include. Will have to see if the BIOS has a way to turn it off.Its a new build so haven't had much time to look yet and seeing as i dont have my AIO water cooler yet, i haven't bothered looking in the bios to overclock.

If you have a 4 pin speaker connector on your motherboard try connecting your Power LED +/- to the +5V/GND pins located on it. My power led works during use and turns off completely during sleep when connected this way.

Hey sorry to bump this old thread but I just want to say thanks to xlxcrossing since nobody else even acknowledged his post.

I spent hours looking for a solution, but pretty much every source suggests just using tape or disabling your power LED entirely, but this more desirable solution works perfectly. This method is of course not exclusive to the Elite 130, and could help anyone with flashing case LEDs. As long as you don't care about an internal speaker, this seems to be the best possible fix. Note that the speaker header +5V pin will likely be on one side of the 4-pin array, and the two GND pins are in the center. So connect the power LED + wire to the (probably left) side pin, and connect the power LED - wire to either of the two middle pins.

Yeah that's what this issue was able to resolve. To be honest, For me its no longer a problem. Since i installed a Samsung 850pro SSD, it boots faster than it ever did from sleep anyway, so I just shut it down and boot it up as needed.
