So I just deleted 33 GB of stuff off of my internal hard drive on my laptop, but it says that my free space is exactly the same. What do I do?

Emptied the Recycle bin?

Yes I emptied the recycle bin and it is Windows Explorer that is telling me this

Install and run either WinDirStat, or WizTree.

Run as Administrator, selecting only the drive in question.

It is 890 GB and I deleted a 33 GB folder of music and videos. When I looked at how much space was on the drive it said 28.7, which is what it said before I deleted the folder

"28.7" what? The folder reads the same size? Free space?
Did you reboot during this?

28.7 GB Free. Yes I rebooted several times

In your Recycle bin,. as far as I can tell, there still seems to be 300+GB in there.
Over 40% of the drive space.

I just reset my PC again and it is showing the correct amount of free space now. Thank you so much for your help
