Ok, to put its simply i want to be able have all my internal hardrives in a seperate enclosure which i can access from my PC. I dont want to run a server or use NAS drives. Ive been suggested JBODs in the past but dont really understand why they all have processors. Do these type of enclosures exist?

"internal" and "seperate " are two different things.
What are you actually trying to do?

For an actual 'external' thing, maybe this:

i want an to put internal harddrives into a seperate storage area than my PC (all drive bays are taken). i do not want to make this into a server. i basically want a rack of harddrives that my pc can access. i dont want anything fancy. something like the link below but covered in a case like the pc itself.

The MediaSonic I linked above is exactly that.
4 drives, 4 drive letters, each individually accessible.
Connected via USB.

I've had one of those for 3 years. Works great.
The only fault I have with it is the stupidly bright blue LEDs. Easily fixed with a piece of paper or tape over them.
