[SOLVED] Storage uninitialised, incorrect space, i/o error

My luck with Hard drives...sucks.

So I recently purchased a new 1tb HDD, only to find that the available storage is around 3.9gb and that it is uninitialised. I try to initialise it in disk manager but am greeted to an "i/o error" message. Have replaced sata cable, tried to initialise in the gpr instead of mbit idk wtf it said.

Anyone know anything??

if it is multiple Hard drives , issue might be your motherboard

Nah mate just the one drive.

See if you can format it after you use Diskpart Clean on it

If it still has i/o errors then return it.
