Storing laptop for long time

so basically i have this matebook 14 amd,4500h
which i want to store for a few years
currently the battery health is like 85%
will disconnecting the battery ,preserve battery health in long term ?

To an extent, yes it would. How many years are we looking at? If it's a laptop, just curious, what's impeding you from carrying it with you/..?

so basicaly i fixed and upgraded this toshiba laptop ,plus most of my tasks can be done on mobile and i wanna keep it in good condition till i go to college ,i.e aproxx 2 years
