Storing programs/games SSD and files hdd

Basically, installed windows 8.1 onto my SSD, now I am faced with the challenge of storing my games and programs on SSD and fever thing else incl files on HDD

I have looked at some articles but they all seem to say different things

If someone could link me a tutorial or give me a few steps, it would be greatly appericated

It's just personal preference. There's no right or wrong way to do it.

People just put files on the HDD because the speed difference would be negligible vs putting files on the SSD.
