Yeah, I know it's a bit early, but--based on all we've seen so far,
how do you think the new WoD 2.0 Storytelling system would work with
Exalted? Any changes it'd have to undergo to adequately portray WoS
action? Anyone planning on giving it a try?

Dex,
wondering if the "Storytelling" system means they don't have to
mention MR*H in the credits anymore...

I don't think it'd be at all worth it.

Exalted's combat system is complex, because the complex combat system is
one of the points of the game.

If you were to convert Exalted to the Storytelling System, /every single
combat Charm/ would have to be boiled down to "This adds dice to your
attack pool" or "This increases your Defence rating." There wouldn't
even be a point to having Abyssal "remove dice from your opponent's
pool" Charms, because that's mechanically identical to increasing your
own defense stat.

You /could/ convert it, but in doing so it seems to me it would rather
defeat the purpose of Exalted altogether.

You know that MR*H still works for White Wolf, right? They don't put
that in the books because he's forcing them to.

Actually, I didn't. Is he still there in a creative capacity, or is
this sort of a "Stan Lee/Marvel" relationship?

I know they pay him a salary. I believe he does something
Management-related, co-ordinating something or other. I don't know.
Justin quite enthusiastically squashed the "They re-named it the
Storytelling System so they wouldn't have to pay MR*H royalties anymore"
rumors.

Redesigning the Charm cascades around the new Attributes and Abilities
would be a pain in the posterior; it would take a great deal to persuade
me that it would be worth the trouble.
