I just received my new GPU yesterday. It's a secondhand bitcoin mining card. VTX 7950 3gb.

I switched it yesterday with my old card (hd 6870), conected 2 6x2 pin connectors from my PSU en started my pc. Nothing... No beep, no screen, only fans, leds and mijn 3 keyboard lights. Starting up with my old card is still possible.

Possible fixes I tried:

- Cmos reset via battery and jumper
- Motherboard firmware update
- Card in other pc (This one did startup untill the windows 8 loading screen. there it hanged. I switched the old card back in his pc, and it needed a cmos reset to work again. Also his 2nd SSD needed a format after this )
- Crossfire switch on the card on 1 instead of 2
- 6x2 pins switched on the card connectors. Tryed 1 6x2 connector. Then it did startup, but no card detected.

Seems almost like a power problem...

My specs:

MB: MSI H61M-E33 (B3)
Chip: i5 2310
Memory: CVS 8GB1333
Storage: SSD 120GB 500/525 Agility3 SA3 OCZ en een HDD
PSU: Cooler Master Real Power M620 620 watt
GPU: Sapp1GB D5 X HD6870
OS: Windows 8

I hope you guys can help me!

It would be best if the power supply was total overkill just to see for sure if that's the problem. I believe a quality 500w power supply is what is suggested for 7950s. If you can try something like a seasonic, corsair, or xfx power supply that is 600w or more that would be ideal. Something with 40 amps or more on the 12v rail
