Well this will only work if you're a self-absorbed little snapsnoot or ticsnotter busy looking at yourself and posing in a mirror... Oh damn. They're gonna sell zillions! God help us all.

Having obnoxious banner adds plastered over websites makes it nearly impossible to focus on content, now people stuck in close quarters by necessity such as public transport may have obnoxious stuff thrown at them from people's earphones and other wearables with unnecessary displays. Fun.

Why not just keep your earbuds and instead mount your phone over one ear or on your forehead with no display timeout? That way everyone can see what you are listening to with a few photos of your pet rolled into the mix. Maybe you can also periodically display the weather and headline news as a public service.

Yeah it's enough having to look at peoples band t-shirts and branded clothing, force everybody to run around naked so we don't have to look at anybody elses taste ever again.

Do they have a sensor that tells when it is being worn or not?

In that case, someone could hack it to show a banner "I AM A WANKER" whenever the headphones are worn and the user won't be watching.

Although, the banner would be entirely superfluous ...

All about other people seeing you while you're ignoring them.
The only headphones you will ever need are the Sony WH-1000XM5 (or previous gen WH-1000XM4 if you want to save some $'s). All the "gamer" headsets packed with gimmicks like RGB are a complete waste of money.

If you travel by air a lot, I'd change that to Bose QC45's - the sound needs bedding in for a few dozen hours, but is pretty good once that is done (massivly over-bright out of the box and I freely admit there are better even after bedding in), but the noise cancelling is stunning, smashing the '25s I had previously and on admittedly brief test, noticably better than the XM5 to my ears. I can mow the lawn with our petrol mower and have them on just with NC - no music - and I can't hear the engine. Being able to sleep in silence on a plane and have great - if not the ultimate - in sound is well worth the price for me. And they work for 24 hours+ on a charge and you can still use them with a cord if you don't like BT. I do 100% agree that gamer headsets aren't worth it. I use a Plantronics blackwire voyager focus for work calls - that is a superb bit of kit for communicating with.
