In the last two weeks I've had a strange problem when I start up. After about 5-10 seconds the screen will grey out. I can't access internet or control panel. I can play games with no problem, but I have to press the windows key to access anything because the taskbar is greyed out too. I can't access anything on my desktop unless I go into the Start Menu. The strange thing is, if I start using the internet before that 5 second window, the desktop is fine.
I've run several malware detection programs, looked for rootkits, tried turning off unnecessary processes to weed something out, but nothing comes up. The same problem happens on multiple users, and will happen if I log off and back on, or switch users. It doesn't happen in Safe Mode, but once again, no malware or trojans can be found.
Pretty sure this is a bug but I can't find it and don't know where else to look. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Running Win 7 Home 64 bit. Hope this is enough info to work with.
