This is not a thing about Microcenter but about what happened while there.
I was in picking up a few minor items and was wandering the video card aisle with Nvidia lining one side and AMD offerings down the other when I was approached by an Asian man who did not speak english very well, and was asked "Excuse me sir, but which is better? AMD or Nvidia?" I just had to smile and respond that I did not know.
I couldn't answer because I am at best an experienced novice, and even if a panel of experts were asked, there would be much debate and no clear overall answer with fans on both sides of the fence. Even then, there are so many variables, such as what system he was running, what CPU etc.
I just wasn't sure why he picked me to ask. I'm sure he would have asked about AMD vs Intel after that.
