4 days ago when I got the video card i couldn't test it and check if everything is okay but on the next day I noticed that the card even though is getting hot(over 70c) didn't turn on the fans after that I decided to turn off the zero frozr and after a restart the fans were working. Fast forward to now - I got a chance to play video games and see how it handles - i used speedfan to control the gpu fans but at one point where the card wasn't on heavy\mid load and it was fairly cool ~30c they randomly went up to 100% and trying to control the speed with that software was no longer an option - inputting any kind of speed fan percentage didn't result in a change of the fans' speed after that i tried to use MSI afterburner to see if i can slow it down and no success then i went to MSI gaming app and turned on Zero Frozr which made the fans to stop. Did i do something wrong? I was watching a movie when the fans turned to 100% but right before that playing Overwatch on epic didnt cause them to do such thing. While playing Overwatch i set them to 30-40% and it was running about 50c while watching the movie it was set on 20%.

PS Sorry for the bad English skills

Solution
I have the same card as you and I had the same problem. By default MSI Gaming app turn off fans until you reach 60ºC. Also, if you have MSI Afterburner and MSI Gaming APP running at the same time it could cause instability and random crashes. What worked for me was uninstalling all msi app (Gaming app, msi live update app etc) and installing the latest version of msi afterburner. AMD drivers that work the best for me are version 17.1.2 In MSI afterburner go to setting and there use your own fan settings. Your card should be 73-74ºC @1080p and never over 78-79ºC @4k. Before unistaling MSI live update check if there is a BIOS update for your card, last version should be 153.
Hope it helps
