Had my nvidia 970 a few months now and it works great, but there does appear to be a problem with it. When i'm in a game, it seems to be most games as i first noticed it in Far Cry 4 as it shipped with the card, the sound will stutter and click every second or two and it does this for a while sometimes it goes away other times i have to shut the game down and let it rest. Now obviously i would usually blame a sound problem but this has only started since the 970 was added to my system. The sound stutters come along with a graphical stutter as well. It's almost imperceptible, its a difficult problem to describe, but its like some one is tapping the brakes on a car at the same frequency over and over again.
Has anyone else heard of this problem? There does not appear to be a trend on the type of games this happens in as its happened in Watch Dogs, Cities Skylines, GTA5, Sky Rim, Shadow of Mordor. So some games are graphically intensive but nothing a 970 should not be able to handle. I'm wondering if there is some sort of strange sound driver onboard the card that could be holding it back?
Any ideas anyone?
