[SOLVED] Strange internet connection loss on specific systems

So, straight to the point. Basically 1-2 times a day the internet connection in my computer and my brother's computer randomly cuts off. (Randomly cuts off and comes back by itself 3-4min later) Both are connected by cable and both show that there IS a connection but there really isn't. (Every browser and app in both PCs lose internet connection) It is strange because WIFI is unaffected and the living room TV is unaffected. (TV also operates on the same network and is ALSO connected by cable) All of this started taking place when we got a new router. I suspect that it has something to do with software on the routers side but I have no clue what could cause this. Any help or advise is welcome!

Forgot to mention that I have already tried disabling any firewall on my router. Didn't work.

Make and model router (or modem/router if combined)?

The router's logs, if available and enabled, may provide some clue.

Who has full admin rights to the router? You will need help from that person.

Well, I think you found the problem--the new router. Change back to the old one and just use the new one as an access point--problem solved!
