Strange internet problem

I have been having this same problem for a while now, I still have NO IDEA how it is happening. When I play certain games (smite and overwatch it happens the most) I randomly lag out and disonnect however my skype call I am in stays up. I have no reason to believe its my modem/router however some people are saying it is my mobos onboard ethernet (MSI 970 gaming mobo). Should I just get a Ethernet card or look for other solutions?

Your skype call on the exact same computer stays online, or akype on a different device?

Can try disable energy efficient or green energy, when network traffic is low these options reduce to conserve power. It may help.

Under the configure tab on your nic properties.

Have you updated network drivers from MSI website?

skype is on the same computer i use to play the game, im in a skype call with friends whilst playing the game

I have the killer network program from the msi website, im not 100% positive it is updated, however when i talked to blizzard costumer support they said just using the program will mess with the game, so I dont know lol. I uninstalled it at the time and it didnt help so i reinstalled it recently.
