Then check also the properties of your mouse follow this instruction: go to control panel/then click view devices and printer/right click in usb mouse or any told mouse/then click properties/check any updates driver button, then if this will not change, right click again then click mouse settings, change any settings there by unchecking the box. If this will not change also, right click again and try to click the troubleshoot. Lets see if this will solve. We need to repair your OS using the windows installer or recovery disk of your windows.

Hi there this is Pradz. (1)The probable problem of you're mouse is that you're is misconfigure. Example it you're using windows 7 you've might have configure you're mouse setting on the ease of access on the login screen. the ease of access has configuration for the mouse like it will open a folder of program if you're mouse cursor is hovering on it of specific time. Solution is check you're ease of access on you,re login screen login. (2) You're is busted though I'll against on HP finding for now there things to know if you're mouse needs to be replace first, how old is mouse? 2nd how you use you're when you're using you're computer like youre clicking very often than using you're keyboard? 3rd what are using you're mouse for like gaming? How do click you're mouse' buttom, do you pressing it gently or you slam it like I do? Last how much you spend of on Computer, Like me which uses my computer for work, play and surf, an average of 8 hrs per day is the minimum. If you have the answer to this question then this is my answer, I often consume an non-gaming mouse every 3 months or a gaming mouse every 5 to 6 months. The problem is in the mouse switches especially the left one which is the most abuse part of the mouse. Solution do I don't like it is to swap the switch to you mouse setting. Go to you control panel click on your mouse icon then check the Switch primary and secondary buttons. Another solution requires mouse disassembly and physical swap you're mouse left switch and you're mouse scroll wheel switch, which is not needed unless if you a high end gaming mouse. Last not the least buy a new one but a different brand and gaming type mouse even if you're using it to sure of open file it helps a lot
