Strange patterns when i turn my laptop on

Hello! I've been having some issues with my laptop lately. When i turn it on it shows the asus logo, followed by this pattern: http://www104.zippyshare.com/v/uvFITgOO/file.html. Then, i get the windows starting logo and i get this one: http://www21.zippyshare.com/v/zu0TemFl/file.html. Finnally i get this one: http://www53.zippyshare.com/v/rUmjsjN2/file.html and i have to restart, or it restarts by itself, i have no idea what is going on. I tried to unplug everything and turn everything on again but it does not work. By the way this has happened to me before around 5 months ago, i took the laptop to a computer shop and when i turn it on to show it to the tech it was fine! Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Well, it could need the drivers updated. That is what I would try first. Then, should that not help, try the following....

1. Turn the laptop off (not sleep or hibernate but off).
2. Connect an external monitor to the laptop.
3. Turn on the external monitor.
4. Turn on the laptop.

NOTE: You may have to press an "external monitor" button. Could be the f4 button or a button with two monitors on it, for the external monitor to work.

If you can see fine on the external monitor, then your attached display, or the ribbon cable that connects it, are your problem.

If you can't see on the external monitor at all, or the problem occurs on the external monitor as well, then it is probably the graphics card/GPU that is the problem, which may require the motherboard be replaced.

Well i can't update the drivers because i can only run the computer in security mode and the update keeps failing idk why. I connected it to an external monitor and it is the same thing. I will take it to the store and see what can be done, thanks!

This is clearly a GPU issue. The same symptoms arise if you were to overclock a GPU past stability. So I would say your GPU is faulty/dying. (Maybe overheated, or just a bad manufacture)

Should mention, it's possible to repair if perhaps it's a dying chip, like the VRAM or something, but I wouldn't recommend the effort to get it repaired (wouldn't be worth it)..
