Hello. I am having a strange issue with my PC where after a long gaming session, I will start hearing this beep sound in my headset every few minutes and my frames will start dropping. I have to restart my PC to get it to stop. The beep isn't coming from the tower directly, it's coming in along with the game audio through my headset, which will also start cutting out sometimes as well. But it will also continue to do it if I stop gaming and say, start browsing the web or listening to music. My PC will be fine for hours and then this problem will just start out of nowhere after about 6 hours of gaming.
It's driving me nuts as this PC is pretty new except for the GPU which is a few years old. I built the PC in February and just pulled the GPU from my old prebuilt. This problem wasn't happening back when I first built the PC but has been happening for probably around a month now. At one point, I only had 1 16 GB RAM stick installed as the 2nd stick was a dud and I bought it quite awhile before I built the PC so I couldn't return it on warranty so I thought maybe that was the issue, but I just installed 4x8 GB RAM sticks and the problem is still happening. I also don't know a whole lot about PC's to begin with as I just made the switch from console about 3 years ago and taught myself enough to build one and understand the basics. But as for troubleshooting, I'm lost. My specs are:
CPU: i9 10900K
GPU: 2060 Super
Mobo: MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Carbon
Power Supply: Corsair RM850x
Memory: 32 GB 3600 CL16
OS: Windows 10 Pro
Any idea what might be happening? Thanks.
