After the most recent Windows 10 update, this strange popup keeps appearing in the same place on my monitor. Always on the upper left corner. If you click share, it doesn't offer to share anything. Print doesn't offer to print anything. Settings are blank if you click on that, and there are no commands under App commands. Does anyone know what this thing is and maybe, just maybe, how to keep the damned thing from constantly reappearing? It's really annoying.

Solution
Try turning of background apps, or at least the ones you don't use, as I think its a glitch that might be updated by the store fixing the app or Windows update fixing windows.

I don't know what it is that makes it happen, but you aren't the first to find it.

see if this helps at all

the file is called applicationframe.exe.mui if it is tied to Skydock - worth looking for even if you aren't running Fences

https://forums.stardock.com/488887/a-problem-with-windows-10-1803-update-creation-of-a-app-commands-share-prin

It is also part of windows 10, used in the menu system.

see if running this helps
right click start button
choose powershell (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter
once its completed, copy/paste this command into same window:
Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth and press enter
SFC fixes system files, second command cleans image files, re run SFC if it failed to fix all files and restart PC

that will just check out windows.

Another choice is run a repair install - all it removes is any Cumulative patches and since there is only one, you don't lose a lot at the moment - https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/16397-repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade.html
