here is my ,, strange '' problem if we can call it like that :

I have build my budget gaming PC... used a MB AsRock FM2A88X Extreme 4+ , i installed 2x4GB ( 8GB Total ) and i was having 8Gb usable...

then my motherboard has fried... 🙁 , i decide to purchase another one, as the warranty did want to fix it for me... I bought another Motherboard, same brand, same model, installed the old RAM's sticks back and instead of having 8GB it display 7.92GB usable .. strange isn't ? sience the MB is same like the first one, same RAM, same components 🙁

And i only get 7.92 usable if i install them into slots A2 B2, if i put them into A1 B1 i get even lower ( 6.90 usable )

The sistem is running ok, i experience frozes like 2 times per day, but i think is because Open Hardware Monitor program, as soon as i start it, after 10 seconds my PC froze 🙁

Do you have a GPU (card)? Also what APU? and what cooler are you using. Try each stick in slot 1 and make sure both work. If using a third party, it may be too tight in a corner or side throwing the MC (memory controller off) might loosen the cooler then snug it back down. Might also check that there are no bent or broken pins

Well, i'm using the AMD A8 6600k, no GPU, it has an integrated one...

CPU Cooler is GAMMAXX 300, i push it a little bit hard, that is true ( these coolers are known for their difiiculty when install them ) but if the CPU would have had broken pins, it wouldn't function at all right ? MY PC is running ok, the problem is that is not alocating the whole 8GB like it use to do with the first Motherboard that died, which is the exact same brand and model like the one i have now... both were brand new...

Also, from the inside of the case i hear a continously beep, like 5 seconds beep, then stop for 1 sec, then it start again.. the beep is not that loud, i could barey hear it when i took the panel off... i also upload a video with that strange beep , here is the link

If the cooler is too tight, in a corner or a side it can throw the CPU out of level so not getting full contacts on the pins, also it can still 'Work' with a broken pin but it may affect functionality, i.e. like Memory controller

soo your advice would be : take off the CPU Cooler, put some spacers under the plasctic pieces that support the cooler, ( Those attached to the Motherboard ) and reassemble the CPU + Cpu Cooler again ? what if even then i would still experience this issue ? 🙁

Next, would be Faulty Ram's ? But i'm wondering why they are faulty, because like 1 week ago they were complty functional on my Motherboard that died... strange problem 🙁

No, just loosen it a little then snug it bak down, screw tight, don't overtighten, that's where the problems come from , many just tighten them down as hard as they can, which not only can throw things out of level but have seen where they even crack the mobo itself

well, i took the PC to a Local repair shop and they say everything is ok with my CPU and CPU Cooler, the sound that is in the video , they think is a coil noise ... 🙁(
