Strange problem with my headset

Hello everyone!

I have a pretty strange problem with my headset in that when I boot my PC, my headset does not register and therefor doesn't work. To make it work I have to unplug the headset, wait around 5 seconds and plug it back in again... then it magically works.

Anyone know why? And if so anyone know a way to fix it?

I know it's not a huge problem but it's still kinda annoying 😛

What type of headset? USB? 3.5mm? What are you connecting to - dedicated or integrated sound?

It's USB and I don't actually know about the sound thing :/

If it's a USB then most likely it has a dedicated sound processor which means it will need to load it's drivers before it works. What are you using? Is there an on/off switch? For the drivers to load you may have to always plug in or turn the device on after boot.

I have a set of Turtle Beach that don't always load if the headset is on before I boot. It's just a quirk between the headset and Windows.

I'm using the Venom Vibrations XT headset. There is an on/off switch yeah. So does that mean there is no fix? 🙁

have you tried arossettii's solution or updating your drivers? if you have done both then I dont think there is a fix. Try downloading drivers off of turtlebeech's website if they have any or reinstalling your windows drivers.
