Strange problem with RAM

I built my PC a year ago and in the last 2-3 months or so it has a problem of freezing. So after searching on google I assumed that the RAM (Ripjaws Gskill 2x4GB) was at fault, so I left one stick in the mobo and took the other one out and the PC ran fine for a about 3 days and then the problems started again, so I thought that particular RAM stick must be faulty, and I changed this one for the other one, and the same thing happened - the same thing happened; it made the problem go away for 2 days and then the freezes started again. Any help much appreciated, thanks.

GTX 760
Windows 7 64Bit
Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Motherboard
Western Digitial 1tb hard drive

Test ram individually in other ram slots. What makes you think ram is faulty? Maybe CPU is unstable, did you overclock it or anything else is overclocked?

You didn't list your PSU; is it a good unit? A poor quality or defective PSU can cause that issue, but so could the motherboard or the GPU.

Also check for the latest BIOS and mobo drivers, GPU driver and scan for malware and virus
