Hi,

I've just bought a new WD 2TB WD20EARX.
The reading benchmark in HD Tune resulted like this below.
I didn't like it, i didn't like it at all...
Is it normal those ups and downs?

If your OS and/or other applications/data are installed on that drive, then yes, those results are normal. (essentially the drive is being used by something else and getting in the way of the test).

If you can elaborate on your setup, we can assess better.

It is not an application installed or operating system installed drive. And it is not being used by any running application at the moment. I especially checked that out and tried the benchmark several times. It doesn't change...

My system is :
- Gigabyte GA-P55A-UD5 --> link
- Intel i7 870 CPU
- OCZ 2x2GB 1600Mhz RAM
- 2x500GB Raid0 WD ++ 2TB WD (new one...)
- Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP2 + all recent updates

I wonder if it is important which SATA slot it is connected. I used a random SATA2 slot instead of a SATA3...
