Strange Red Icon for Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media Action

I have 2 computers , both running Windows 10 Home - Creator.
Both are fully updated to the same windows updates.
On one of them with a usb stick plugged in, when I select Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media and click on the USB stick to remove it safely, instead of the short musical notes and the
text stating you can now safely remove, all I get is no sound at all and a little Red Box, with a check
mark inside of it. Weird, something I have never seen before. When removing my External Hard Drive, nothing at all happens. Have I been hacked or was there
some setting I am not aware of that I may have changed ?
The other computer's behavior is normal, with the short musical notes and the
text stating you can now safely remove. I was going to Flash the Bios to update it.
But being a slightly risky endeavor, I thought that first, I would ask some experts to see if anyone has heard of this before.

this is an old suggestion

You could try this:
In Settings > System > Notifications & Actions > Select which icons appear on the taskbar
Turn off Windows Explorer-Safely remove hardware and eject media
Restart the computer
Turn it on again

Turn off Quiet hours - might make notifications return
