Hello everyone! I'm kida new here. I have a strange "problem". I don't really know how to call it. Yestarday appeared just after Win10 update hit my PC. I rolled-back the update but that did NOT helped me. I made a short video to hear what is this sound. Everytime is a little bit different from the last time. It appears on several games but not all of them. I don't have anything (program like) installed to do such noise. I reinstalled few things even to see if there will be change. Nothing. Rolled back with the old update? Still there. I tought it was from Steam , but I tried to run WoW Legion and same sound appear there too.

Here is the link of the video. This sound is ONLY when I start the game. No matter if Fullscreen or Windowed. The sound is heard by the headphones/subwoofer. Not the PC speaker ! Tried to reinstall the Audio drivers , no help.

Hello:)

I would do a clean install of your gfx card driver.

Will I download a file to hear a sound? No. Will I play a Youtube video or other service such as http://vocaroo.com/?upload . Download just anything? No.

The anniversary update "broke" my PC as well. I called MS 1 (800) 642-7676 . A month or so later that same update was applied to my PC. MS defining insanity? Yes they were. They hid that update.

Of course every time they apply a major update so too do they set user defined settings back to microsoft default settings. Have your audio and video files set to play with specific software? Too bad. MS will reset thos. They will also reset Power options and basically do what they want regardless of the PC or its needs.

Have you went to the Event Viewer for the exact time that sound was made? It sounds like a notification. Something like a UBS device failing and reinitializing.

Strange? Yes it is.
