So I've got a pretty alright gaming PC that was a hand-me-down from my uncle, but I've completely gutted and replaced all of the parts.
AMD FX 8320
Gigabyte 970A-UD3P
Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x4GB
Evga GTX 750 FTW
Evga 500w 80 Plus certified Power Supply
1TB Sandisk Hard Drive
120 GB PNY SSD
Windows 8.1 Pro
Nothing is overclocked, all running at stock. Windows is installed on the SSD, and I've started having these hang-ups ever since I did that. The freezes (mentioned later) have been happening since I got the new mobo/cpu/ram/psu.
Sometimes my systems hangs, I'll open up Chrome and pull up a webpage but it wont load, then everything else on the PC becomes unusable, can't pull up task manager, can't right click, it's really strange. These hang ups only last 3-4 seconds though. Sometimes, the system will just completely freeze up. The case fans will continue spinning, and whatever was on the 2 monitors when it freezes just sticks there. I have to use my reset button to turn it off and back on. I've already ran Memtest with no errors, so I know it isn't the RAM, and I used the GPU for around 6 months with Windows 7 and a different CPU/Mobo and didn't have a problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I formatted the Hard Drive with Dban, then installed Windows 8.1. I have updated the bios for my motherboard, and I keep my drivers updated.
