I have an ASUS RT-N56U router flashed with custom firmware from this website. Recently, while I was playing online games, I notice that my ping spiked up intermittently and the connection was very laggy.
I checked to make sure no other devices are connected to the router at that time. However, the lag was still unbearable. Then, I opened up my router's internet activity monitoring tool and saw this:
This pattern did not stop until several hours later. I thought my computer might be infected with virus, so I scanned it. Nothing.
Still suspicious, I turned off my computer, logged onto the admin tool with my laptop, and I still saw the same pattern. I even made sure my laptop was the only device connected to my router (by banning every other devices).
At this point, I don't know what could be the cause of this strange upload activity. Is there any way to track where the packets are sent? How can I stop this?
Btw, I already changed my wifi password into a more complex one, and I recognize every device connected to the router.
