I am getting streaking while printing with my HP 2605DN printer. Anybody have any ideas how to fix this?

Here's some more PIX:

The first one below is after I saw that the transfer belt was filthy, I cleaned it and then printed a test page and this is how it looks now.

The last pic is of the toners.

This printer has only printed 106 pages in it's lifetime.

Solution
I think those ink cartridges are bad and could damage the printer.
Ink cartridges have an expiration date from 12 to 24 months if you keep then in a cool dry place.
I'm not an expert, but at work we buy 100s of cartridges yearly and the ones we don't get to use we exchange for new ones to avoid ink toners from damaging printers.
That printer needs cleaning. Have you ever clean the printer?
There is a blue cleaning tool that comes with the printer (above the black cartridge) move it back and forth about five times.
You might need a damp lint free cloth to clean the rollers.
Are you using generic ink?

Original HP cartridges.

I spent quite a bit of time cleaning it today.

Cleaned all the cartridge drums

Cleaned the transfer roller

printed many demo pages.

Cleaned transfer roller between each printing

The transfer bar keeps filling with toner

as old hp tech your issue can be two things. one the fuser rool someone put in lables or something for an inkjet no a laser printer and the glue or other iteam damaged the fuser roll. you can see that the error on the paper lines up with the orange fiuser roll. check with hp see if the printer has on site service. if that roller is not replaced and calabrated right your images on the paper will be sideways on the paper.

Hello,
I am the original owner. It has only printed 106 pages from the Original Cartridges. So the printer has mainly set idle for years. I am trying to figure out whether it can be rehabilitated or if I need tom toss it. I agitated the toners a lot today, then cleaned them, and the transfer roller numerous times with demo pages printed in between cleanings.

It's doing much better.

But even after just being cleaned, with no pages printed. Upon turning on, there is toner showing up on the transfer belt. I guess when you turn it own and it self tests, it may roll the transfer belt some and picks up toner from somewhere.

Yes, original cartridges for 12 years or so in South Florida. I think the toner is "bad". I agitated the cartridges a lot and ran numerous cleaning cycles while cleaning the Roller each time. Things are a world better, but still getting bad printouts with some streaking.

So I think the cartridges are bad. Like I said, it has onlyprinted 106 pages from the original cartridges.
