Hey there.
I am in the middle of a debate with myself. I am in between buying a streaming box a la Amazon Fire TV versus buying a new Media Center case for my HTPC (it's in a tower, I would need to buy one of those receiver looking cases for my current setup).
So far, everything I want to do is covered by using Plex/XBMC except one thing: playing games. My main desktop is not far from my TV and it seems silly to have two PCs running so close together, and my desktop has vastly superior hardware to play games.
What I would like to do (if it is at all possible) is stream my PC video to my TV using the streaming box (or whatever device). Something along the lines of what the PS Vita does with the PS4 and the Wii U to it's little screen there. I believe that would solve any issue I would have. I have wireless controllers so theres no issue with cords or anything.
I would like to do my best to not use an HDMI cable. That too would solve my issues but all of my ports are being used for monitors (yeah, I am one of THOSE guys) and I really dislike having to swap cables.
