Stream laptop webcam to desktop?

Dear Tom's Hardware Community,

I wasn't too sure where to ask this, but since I'm going to use it for gaming, I decided to post it here.

Is there a way to stream my built-in laptop webcam over my network and use the webcam on my desktop?

I already Google'd and read forum posts, but I couldn't find a lot about this. Only how to use your phone as a webcam, but of course, that's not what I'm looking for.

Hi there.
Laptop webcams are not designed to be operated in that fashion.
Only way I can think of is to remote desktop into the laptop and view the webcam that way with a viewer.

Although, just buying a webcam or using your phone as one is probably gonna give you higher quality.

Edit: Yawcam may let you stream your webcam "over the internet" to a web browser on your desktop though.
