Streaming CPU and GPU combo?

I want to start streaming through OBS to YouTube (my main audience is there). My current build is a Pentium G4560 and a 1050 2GB..... this obviously can't keep up. my stream lags and freezes a ton. I've been eyeing the i5 8600K and a 1060 6GB. I will upgrade to 16 gigs of RAM as well as I am running 8 right now.

Games I will be streaming and playing (same system)
-Rainbow Six Siege
-Fortnite
-Forza Horizon 3
-GTA V

It's such a shame that you won't choose AMD, cause the R5 2600X is heaps and MILES better than the 8600K for your situation..

The 8600K should do okay, but you need to do a lot of optimizations in OBS to make it run smooth. Unless you want to stick to 1080P 30fps and below.

I'm just hesitant due to the fact that I would have to then swap my mobo. More money.,
