Hi
I recently had my internet upgraded and want to try streaming for the new season 12 start of Diablo3.
I have tried streaming dota2 @ 720p and I found that my CPU running at 100%, my dota2 game was lagging as well as the stream. As soon as I dialed down the dota2 graphics details from high to normal, the lagging subsided on both stream and game - but who wants to game with crappy details?
This leads me to believe that the bottleneck is the CPU and would like to know if there is a fix for that.
My specs are below:
core i5 3570k With cooler master 212 cooler
gigabyte z77-d3h motherboard
8gb (2x4gb) Corsair Vengence Black 1600 RAM
AMD RX470 4GB Saphire Nito+ GFX
EVGA 650W PSU
Samsung Evo 850 - 256gb ssd
2x 23" 1920*1080 monitors
(I want to be able to stream and chat to the viewers)
Possible solutions:
1) I have the opportunity to swap my 3570k for a 3770 (non k) - would this solve the problem?
2) Would overclocking my 3570k to 4ghz or even 4.2ghz be a better option?
any advice?
