Hey! Building new setup primarily for gaming, but wanted to try streaming, so I need a pc that will handle both. My pref is intel..
So, I have an RTX 2070 now, but will buy a 3070/3080 once (hopefully) they will be sold at a reasonable price at my place. Having hard time with choosing cpu, I was thinking maybe i9 10900k, i9 10850k, i7 10700k or i7 11700k.. i9 10900k seems a bit pricey, idk if it’s worth it. Also, don’t really know anything about kf versions other than that they are a bit cheaper, should I look at those? Anyways, any suggestion is appreciated <3

So, since I have RTX 2070 on hands, I won’t lose from buying the kf version?
No, though it does present some benefits in regards to troubleshooting and multi monitor setups.

i9 10900k, i9 10850k, i7 10700k or i7 11700k.. i9 11900k
[You had typed 10900K twice, but must've intended 11900K for one of them.]
The following is just IMO, so keep that in mind:
1)10900K and 11700K are the most unattractive of the 5 you listed.
The 10850K is a 10900K that didn't meet the required specs. 100mhz lower across the board and the bins(for overclocking) aren't as good. Unless you have a passion for overclocking, you probably won't miss the more expensive 10900K.
11700K, Intel just didn't give this one enough love. 11600K is right on its...

The 'F' denotes no iGPU present.
An iGPU is precious these days, what with how hard getting a gpu is. At least with one, you can put together and use the PC while you wait/hunt for a gpu.

Probably the main reason for opting for 11th gen is the PCIe gen 4 support. I guess it doesn't hurt to have it, but it's use is limited, and the Gen 4 SSDs that are currently available run noticeably hot, often requiring DIY or aftermarket solutions.
You won't notice a significant improvement unless you're transferring large files of data from one SSD to another.

As for which cpu: IDK you'd even notice a difference between any of those cpus with all the threads they have.
Plus, you can stream with the gpu; you can switch it up based on which part the game puts a harder load on.

IMO, if you go 11th gen, the value is in the 11600K. By all telling the i7 and i9 versions are more desirable in 10th gen unless you have a need for the PCI Gen4. I am not certain that a six core processor will give the results you want for gaming and streaming.

I think of the 10th gen, I would go with the 10850K. Ten cores, good pricing and performance.

The price for i9 10850k and i9 10900kf is the same. Which is more reasonable..?

11700K, Intel just didn't give this one enough love. 11600K is right on its tail while being cheaper, and 11900K at least has both Thermal Velocity Boost(TVB) and Adaptive Boost Technology(ABT), 2 reasons I like this cpu.
They could've at least given the 11700K ONE of those 2 features, but nope... 10850K and 10900K have TVB.

2)10850K V 10700K.
Down to pricing, and how badly you think you need another 4 threads; 20 V 16.

3)11900K.
Overclockers wet dream, but it's also viable for users who want the best out of box performance that Rocket Lake has to offer - price is of little concern.
Can't go too cheap on the cooling if you want to take advantage of the TVB and ABT features I mentioned earlier - that kind of applies to all the cpus on your list, but more-so on the 11900K.

So, yeah...
10850K V 10700K V 11900K.
Perhaps scratch the 11900K off? You did mention that it seems a bit pricey; you might not be ready to fork over that kind of money yet.
10850K V 10700K.

It's ultimately your choice. If you want the Gen 4 support, there's still the 11700K.
[I know I didn't mention the F SKUs - I was being lazy. Pretend they were also included.]

To be fair, everything since 9th gen Intel has needed some fairly robust cooling solutions. All of the high end skew have needed more than robust in some cases....Any of these selections would be serious contenders for large air coolers, or water cooling.
