Streaming movies and network question

So I have satellite internet and I'm only allowed a certain amount of downloading each month. I've been thinking of creating a server for streaming movies to all the devices in my network, but I'm not sure of the affect it will have on my download allowance. Does this use a lot of internet?

I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong section and thanks in advance for the answers.

If it is a home server streaming the movies should not use ANY internet, as they are being streamed over your local network.

Since it would be inside your network from your own computer it will not count towards your satellite bandwith cap.

Did u try it ? did it work ?

I have not tried it yet. This is more for planning for a future build because I don't have the money to do one right now.
