Hello, so for a while now I've been wanting to stream pc games but i own a crappy i5 pc right now and dont want to upgrade to an i7 + gpu, since it would mainly cost the same as building another pc.

So my choices are listed below:

  • i7-7700k
NZXT Kraken X62 Liquid CPU Cooler
    MSI Z270 GAMING PRO CARBON
    Kingston FURY 16gb (2x8gb) DDR4-2400
    Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250gb SSD
Western Digital Black Series 2TB HDD
    ASUS 1080 Strix
    NZXT Phantom 530
    Corsair 750W 80+ Gold
    Windows 10 Home
Total Cost: $1783.03 USD + Tax & Shipping

OR

  • i7-6800k
NZXT Kraken X62 Liquid CPU Cooler
    MSI X99A GAMING PRO CARBON
    Kingston FURY 16gb (2x8gb) DDR4-2400
    Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250gb SSD
Western Digital Black Series 2TB HDD
    ASUS 1080 Strix
    NZXT Phantom 530
    Corsair 750W 80+ Gold
    Windows 10 Home
Total Cost: $1951.80 USD + Tax & Shipping

CPU cooler is extremely poor value, not worth it at this price point, graphics card is a dramatic step down, case is poor build quality and the storage is poorly balanced.
Don't get a WD Black 2TB, get a 2TB Barracuda by Seagate and a 960 Pro 256GB.
I also accidentally included two coolers above.
I'll make an adapted version without pushing the price up.

I have 2 144hz monitors. so that shouldnt be a problem. Is the AMD processor worth it? A lot of people before the newest came out, said AMD was not worth it and intel was the way to go.

Yeah, before Ryzen AMD hadn't made any CPUs in years, and their last offerings, the FX series had very poor IPC and performance overall compared to Intel, therefore especially compared to updated chips, Intel was the only option.
However Ryzen released earlier this year, and is fantastic for editing/rendering and streaming due to the high core count and improved IPC. It still falls behind a bit in gaming with the R7 chips, but it's a solid performer all around.
Please tell me you're not using both for surround gaming, that's a terrible experience. :(
Are they both 1080p? I'd still go for the 4k monitor since image quality is SOOO much better, but if you want you can stick with them.
Updated.

I have a headset for audio lol. But I might consider the ryzen now.

Here's the updated list, forgot to post it in my above comment.
As I said, this is terrible value vs the build I posted above, I highly recommend you get that, I can't stress this enough.
