I'm not sure if this is the right category for this thread... Hello everyone, I'm going to build a casual gaming PC and I have my eye on the Ryzen 5 1500x as it's only $70 right now. I love the idea of using this CPU... but I'd like to do livestreams on my PC, and this CPU only has 4 cores and 8 threads. The games I'd like to stream are easy games like Minecraft or Terraria or World of Tanks. Maybe some Rainbow Six. Will streaming be possible like that? 2 cores and 4 threads dedicated to the games, and another 2 cores and 4 threads dedicated to streaming? I just don't want to spend an extra $50 for an R5 2600. Thanks!

Solution
2 cores and 4 threads dedicated to the games, and another 2 cores and 4 threads dedicated to streaming?
Not like this, you should allow both tasks to use all available threads and then balance the load by putting on a FPS limit in the game and by the quality you pick in the streaming software.

Also if you have enough bandwidth to stream you can just use your GPU to do the work so your CPU isn't affected,OBS allows for nvidia AMD and intel GPUs to be used for streaming.

Okay.

My gpu will propably be one of these three: RX 470, RX 570, RX 480.
Edit: I want my stream quality to be 720p 30fps, but in game I want 1080p 60-75fps. Would I cap the frame rate to like 60fps in game and then 30fps on stream? I’ve never live-streamed for real before, so I don’t really know how any of this works. Thanks!
