Whenever I stream no matter what game I play if I'm tabbed into the game I get tremendous lag on the stream but my game fps is perfectly fine. I haven't found anything online that helped so anything would be much appreciated.

Solution
frostflow 240 liquid cooler
ryzen 7 2700x cpu
B450-f asus strix
32gb 4x8gb 3200mhz corsair rgb
rtx 2080 asus turbo - kinda <Mod Edit> ngl
nzxt case
1 250gb m.2 ssd

(i doubt it has anything to do with my specs or pc technical wise because i was streaming not too long ago and had no issues)
try this step by step (read until end):
  • Disconnect from internet
  • Uninstall gpu driver DDU (clean and do not restart).
  • Uninstall all the processors on device manager (should be 16 on yours, also when it asks for restart, click on no) like this:

  • Restart the pc to bios, and update to the latest bios. Then go to bios again...

  • Restart the pc to bios, and update to the latest bios. Then go to bios again after update and load default or optimized settings.

  • boot up to windows and install the latest AMD Chipset driver, reboot, go to power plan, choose amd ryzen balanced, and connect to internet.

  • Install the latest nvidia driver.

*do this all offline until reboot after installing chipset driver, also you may reboot to bios after all of this to set the XMP (and previous settings you did) and make sure ram is on slot 2 and 4 if you use 2 sticks. Download needed files (highlighted word) before doing step 1, do the step by orders.

*also try to clean uninstall and install the streamlabs again

  • And check windows update (and optional updates) if there is any and install them (except chipset in optional update). Also enable Hardware Accelerated Graphics Scheduling (available on the latest win 10 update) in graphics settings like this and reboot:

Make sure the psu connected to the gpu is 1 pcie cable per 1 slot (use main cable, not the branches/split) like this:

Ok I’ll give this a go but before I do I have one question. Will this rollback my bios because I’m running an r7 on a b-350 and normally it wouldn’t support the r7. I’ve already updated the bios like yesterday and no I doubt this is the cause because this has been happening for the past 6 or so weeks.

no, it will update the bios, and don't worry, it will still support the cpu on the latest bios. Most B450 support 1000 till 5000 series in the latest agesa. The site didn't give any warning about losing cpu support, and in fact, my friend using a r5 2600 running the latest agesa in his b450m steel legend and he could run 3200mhz OC on ram (previously he couldn't, agesa 1.1.0.0 i believe) and usb issues begone

Follow the step by order, also dw about the latest bios update, it'll still support the cpu.
