Stressing Out My Video Card...?

Alright, so my title is vague and that's because I suck with titles, moving along..

As I play some games I've bought I notice after awhile of playing (hour perhaps) the games will crash. And if I look closely at my screen (sometimes I don't even have to look close) there is rippling going on in the screen but it goes away after said game is closed for a few minutes.

I'm under the impression that my video card, CPU or both are being stressed out and hence the crashing. Maybe you can shred some light on it.

Games I've Played Which Crashed:
Tomb Raider (I played it today, it crashed after about an hour.)
Prototype 2 (Again, after awhile of playing it crashed, this is the first time)
Far Cry 3 (I beat the game awhile ago, but I'll bring it up any way because I've never played such an unstable game before - it crashed repeatedly, playing it constantly for days, it crashed more than twice a day)

No but that is a good idea and I checked events and as of very recent there are many errors and warnings, presumably while my game was playing.

I have no idea how to "read" them. So maybe you can?

This is true - I'm not sure if there is a "copy to clipboard" option or a similar option.

Also, after playing Tomb Raider for what seemed like 2 hours (I put back some settings so the game looks a bit less graphic but still enjoyable) and after looking at Speccy it says my video card is around 75 C.

As for power options, which I never thought of, it is set to Balanced.
