So I'd really like to open my NAT on assassin's creed unity. I've opened all ports that I've been asked to and was even given extra ones by support just in case. They all work as I've tested with the port forward tester and my ISP confirmed it, however I still have a stricy NAT. I read that my ISP could open it byt I was told that they can't, I'm going to contact again just in case. I also read about something called a DMZ though I hear it's very bad for security, especially on a PC. Does anyone know how else I can open my NAT, I'd really like to play multi-player without lagging or waiting ages for a game.

Thanks for any help

You could check your routers settings for NAT. Some routers will allow you to set either a open or secured NAT. Other then that you will have to put the router into the DMZ. Just open your router settings and find the DMZ. Type your local IP address into the space and your set. Yes it will be less secure but so long as your have a firewall on your PC you should be ok.

Just finished talking to someone at my ISP, they reckon a full 30/30/30 reset could fix it, or if not that, connecting straight to my hub in modem mode. The problem is, I share with an entire family so modem mode isn't really an option.

Well I've just been told my powerline adaptor could have it's own security by the support team at my ISP. The 30/30/30 reset didn't work so they said a gaming router or direct connection to my hub might work. I'll try DMZ now.
