According to the game's requirements (and if they are true to their requirements), those specifications you have listed should definitely be able to run the game on it's highest settings.

I'm waiting for BF3 BETA to download now so I can actually test what can and can't play it. I have two GTX470's and if just one can play it adequately at high settings I'm pretty sure your 6970 will blow it out of the water.

You can save some money, by replacing your PSU with something with less watts..Since you won't Crossfire a solid 550-650 unit is more than enough!

Finally, I would get a GTX 570...It's cheaper and better than 6970 😉

@joytech - Okay yeah that's what I figured. Also, I fully believe it'll run pretty smoothly as of yesterday. I received the 48 hours advance beta invite, and was playing it last night. I played it on a Core 2 Duo Wolf 3.0, with a single Radeon HD4850, and 4GB Ram... and honestly it's completely playable at that setting. It isn't 100% smooth, and the visuals obviously set to medium at its very max, but nevertheless seemed to be fine if say you really didn't care and just wanted to run around and have fun. So I'd imagine one 470 should be able to play it adequately at just about high. Two 470s should be no problem!

@michxymi - Thanks, I'm going to roll with the suggested PSU you gave. I just want my PSU to be a bit future proof in case I say upgrade video card and CPU once in the next 2-4 years. As far as the case, I just REALLY dig intake fans as well as removable screen filters hence why I chose what I had. Finally for the 570, is it actually better performing? I've honestly heard perfectly split feedback on these two. Actually what drove me to the 6970 is that it was recommended to me that if I were to run two cards, I then would want to look into the 570, otherwise a single card 6970 would be as good if not better suited.

As long as you are with a single card, this PSU will be more than enough... As for the GTX 570 you can see some results from beta here
