Ok, Good Day people.

I searched the forums but no result whatsoever.

I have a striker extreme, a e6700 and a zalman 9700 cooler.

The problem is that fan is always at 100% not matter what, even idling, its
the same, Speedfan did not control the speed, and
the q-fan option in bios does nothing to even reduce the speed, its always
100%.

Some fellow tell me to purchase a zalman fan controller, but i presume the
board must handle this type of issue, anyone can help me please.

The proc. its not overclocked and i have not any stability issues whatsoever.

The temps are ok thought.

Even with the case open the thing does not reduce its speed and its even more
loud that way !

Help !!!

I have installed the software that came with the board, this allows speed control from windows and works a treat! It's called Ai Booster.

Not work for me...

The fan its now even louder and spining at 2809 rpm !

Ai booster did nothing but get worse.

Any other advice please ?

Zalman "fan mate II" rpm adjusters will reduce the speed at least 50%. They come with some zalman heatsinks. Fry's sells them for about $7. You plug the heatsink fan lead into the fan mate II, and the fan mate II lead to any 3 pin plug on your motherboard.

Ok, thank you very much. So this is the only workaround ?

I wonder what's wrong with my pc.

I think i'll do what you said.
