I registered at this forum to ask if ASUS Striker Extreme has any problems with the Antec P182 Case but after 20 min in the Asus subforum I saw a lot of complaints about this mobo. Considering its price tag, I really don't want it to go berserk on me.

So my new question would be... Is it worth the money?

If not, what nvidia 680i mobo should I buy?
It has to be with a nvidia chipset because I plan to use SLI further down the road.

I have the Asus P5N32-E SLI and has done me proud. This board is basically the same as the striker extreme minus a bit of bling at half the price.

A.

Yes, it is a huge waste of money. If you don't want SLi, then you don't even need a 680i based board. p35 is higher performance, cheaper and more future-proof.

Thanks for the advice. After reading it I went and documented myself about P35 and decided to scrap the idea of having SLI, after all, at the rate graphic cards evolve and considering that this is my last family funded rig its either SLI now or after I finish College and take care of my own ass. I choose the later.

I decided to buy the P5K Deluxe/WiFi AP. Any thoughts about it?

I too am looking into Asus P5K mobo. I started a thread asking for advises on which one to get.

In Toronto, The P5K-Deluxe Wi-Fi is about $90 higher than the P5K. So far, I can see the lack of features in P5K are Wi-Fi, Raid, 2nd Lan port and some advanced coolings. Since I don't plan on using Wi-Fi, Raid and 2nd Lan port, not sure if I should buy this higher model.
