As the title suggests one of my laptops screw was stripped a while ago i believe by a dell employee, couple weeks back i sent my laptop to them under my warranty to replace my battery but now since it ran out dell won't help me with this issue. The purpose of opening my laptop was to replace the thermal paste in an attempt to get better cooling and fps as my laptop is dipping hard without really any performance gains.

So you don't ask anything but I assume you want to know How to get it out? Where to get a replacement screw? Both?

Removal - something like https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Tools/Precision-Screw-Extractor-Set/IF145-118?o=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI9aSo77fK5wIVL__jBx0PpwTIEAQYAyABEgJ7ffD_BwE is what you need. You can possibly find it locally, depending on where you are in the world.

New - Again, depending on where you are located you can possibly get it locally from a hardware store, or order online.

I'm pretty sure you can press Dell to send you the screws, and if you stroke them right they could accommodate covering the minimal cost to have a local repair shop remove the screw. Otherwise the extractor set is inexpensive (I realize everyone has their own financial situation).
