I want to replace my old 1070 but dunno which card to pick.
There is a used asus Strix 1080ti for 200$ less than the less expensive zotac 2080.
Should I get it or the rtx 2080 is still a better fps giver?
I have a Ryzen 7 2700 cpu
But Raytracing on a RTX 2080 means lower fps so goign to lower resolutions like I do now on 1070.
There are no comparison by specific models like the Strix Gaming 1080ti and a basic 2080?
Generally the 1080 ti will have less CUDA cores but lower clock speed - you'll find on userbenchmarks that generally the 1080 ti is the slightly better performer, but it can depend on the application.
You'll also typically tend to find that more performance requires less power with newer generations. And overall you'll probably find the actual FPS difference between the 2 to be minimal. But the 2080 probably gives you more "future proofing" / performance in the long run - for want of a better phrase.
