Hi,

Recently, I was having internet problems, and whilst trying to troubleshoot them Windows recommended that I uninstall all networking drivers to see if that fixed the issue. Long story short, uninstalling all the networking drivers didn't fix anything, it actually make a lot of things much worse, such as it completely bricking my Strix Raid Pro that hasn't worked ever since uninstalling the drivers.

I've tried:
- Uninstalling all my Asus drivers
- Installing the latest drivers
- Using the disk that came with my soundcard
but EVERY time I try to do any of the above things, the same error comes up:

"Windows installer:
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'SonicStudioSC.msi' in the box below."

I don't know what to do at this point. I've tried everything. The only thing I've done that fixed the issue was reverting to the latest version of windows, but then Windows forced me to update which broke it again.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

Cheers

Couple of questions, Sarge.
First of all, what version of Windows are you running?
What make and model of computer?
Out of curiosity, how did "Windows [recommend] that [you] uninstall all networking drivers to see if that fixed the issue?" I've never heard of that before.

I have half of an idea what might be happening. I've seen messages like that when something was installed, the installer saved the location of the install files in the windows registry, and I tried to re-install from a new location. Unfortunately, I really can't recommend fiddling around in the registry due to the risk of breaking things if you are not familiar with it.

Have you re-installed all of your network drivers - does everything but the soundcard work?

Finally, what on Earth gave them the idea to use the term RAID for a sound device? (rhetorical question)
