I have an EVGA 650W power supply. I am trying to determine which cables to use to power the graphics card above. Please see the photos below so you understand what I’m dealing with. I have one cable that has to 8-pin connectors. Should I use that or should I use one connector from each separate cable?

The one cable with 2 connectors is perfectly fine and made to handle the power requirements of your 2080ti.

It's better to use 2 cables. They will heat up less.
Maybe, what is heat up less? 1 degree, 20 degrees? What is the total impact of this lower temperature? I’ve been using the single cable on a 1080ti overclocked which pulls more power than a 2080 super for almost 3 years and haven’t had an issue using a quality Seasonic Focus. Maybe your personal preference is to use 2 cables, but that wasn’t the question. Obviously he can use 1 or 2. I’d recommend one, but if he wants to use 2, no it won’t hurt nor help IMO.
