Hello! Just really wanted to pick a few brains with this issue. It was suggested to me that my PSU wasn't strong enough, but I'm not wholly convinced... So here's the deal. A few weeks ago I did a clean install of Windows. As I was changing the Boot priorities to my DVD Drive, I noticed an option I hadn't really seen before (I hardly ever mess around in this part of my PC). Apparently I'm able to switch the PC speed from Normal to Fastest. "Interesting", I thought. After my clean install, I went back there and switched it over to Fastest. My PC restarted aaaand...nothing happened. It gave the impression it was going to boot, as all the fans seemed to be running, but my monitors remained dark. At this point, fear gripped me, because I had NO idea what I'd done. So I took a breathe, opened the case up, did a hard restart and tried to look for something that seemed off. When I restarted again, I noticed a few lights flickering on the motherboard, until finally it settled on a light just under the memory sticks, that continued to flash on and off. After a quick search on my phone, it was suggested that I hit the Mem OK! button. That seemed to clear everything up and the system booted like normal, as it seems the system defaulted back the Normal setting that I'd changed.
So any ideas? Reading this back, it does kind of seem like a PSU issue, but like I said, I just want to pick a few brains. And I reeaally want this thing to be set to Fastest! Thanks!
