stronghold crusader help

so, i recently found my old copy of stronghold crusader and tried to instal it however, i get to 72 - 79% and i get this message:

Component Transfer Error
App Executeables
E:\Disk1\data2.cab
Data Error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)

any help on what i can try? ive tried cleaning the disk, freeing up space, running it as admin and making sure my antivirus isnt blocking it, i use AVG dunno if that makes a difference

Try the disc in another optical drive, if it does the same thing then the disc is damaged. CRC errors normally happen when data is physically damaged.

I only have 1 disk drive, how do i repair the data?

i cant seem to get the cd checker to work

If you have access to another computer try copying the data off by dragging and dropping to an external drive or using imageburn to make an image of it then burn it to another cd.
